On June 2nd, re-elections is to be held in Neyyattinkara constituency of Kerala. Drama took place when communist MLA gave his resignation 2-3 months before. Selvaraj, the resigned communist MLA is now Congress candidate.  . Lourence is Communist candidate and former Railway minister O.Rajagopal is BJP candidate.
This constituency is notorious for caste votes. More than 50% voters belong to Nadar community and they can really influence the result. Since this community is found only in the southern parts of states and Tamil Nadu, many voters give their vote according to caste, thinking they may do something for the caste.
This time, both congress and communist candidates are from Nadar community. So, voters will really be confused? Also, will people vote for Selvaraj as he has changed the party? Will BJP get the benefit of this, since votes will split? But they have never won a seat till now.
Most influencing factor would be T.P.Chandrasekhar murder. CPM is accused of it and Congress using this as a better opportunity to fight with full confidence.

What do you think? Who will win this time?

i think BJP will win this time.As far as i have understood Both Congress and communist has got a bad image. Its a fact that BJP never won in kerala.Who knows..lets wait.

No doubt, Rajagopal is most influential BJP leader of Kerala.
Problems now belong to both Congress and Communists equally. BJP is going to get its benefits. But the main problem is, since they have never won a seat here, people hesitate to give BJP their votes and hence BJP has never got a chance here.

Let us wait for the results with our fingers crossed :woohoo: :woohoo:
But sometime those who never get chance also done a great job like freshers.
Is it a comedy, Asha?
Or are you giving serious answer??? Can't understand!!!!
Now it was 11 day after Election to be help. What is the Result sandhya.can you Discuss here......
The one who has most money, muscles and molding power - would win the election, this will be clear tomorrow.
Counting has just commenced!!!! :woohoo: :woohoo: :woohoo:

Now it seems to be a table tennis between BJP and Communist :woohoo: :woohoo: :woohoo: Congress seen no where....
When counting started BJP was leading.....
Now, when 2nd round is completed, Communist candidate is leading with 950 votes.... :woohoo: :woohoo: :woohoo: :woohoo:
BJP is at second position and congress 200 votes behind BJP.

I think, Congress has done something wrong by giving their ticket to betrayal Selvaraj. Isn't it???

Now also time is there... Predict the winner
Now counting completed in 34 booths.....(I think around 135 booths...not sure)
LDF 10663
BJP 9522
Congress 9433
No one is online now

Really a tough competition.....
Now a little change.....at 9.30 am, counting of 46 booths completed. Total 144 booths
Now also, you have the time to predict the winner

Now also LDF is leading. But its lead has reduced!!!! Congress is now at second!!!
At present...
LDF.......14,685
UDF.......13,580
BJP.......13,079

Now, you can see what a tough competition it is     :silly:
Anything can happen....
Now also I feel LDF will win and BJP will finish second!!!!
What do you think?
Now the pooling counting is started we will know in the evening who is the winner.
Oh no!!!!!!
Lead of Communist party is just now 2 votes....Congress has emerged to front!!!!
BJP 3rd position!!!!
Nothing predictable!!!!!
Now the pooling counting is started we will know in the evening who is the winner.

No yaar...around 11 am!!

Now, Neyyattinkara booth has placed Congress above the both. I thought BJP will win here getting more Nair community votes. But all predictions have gone wrong :S :S :S
Sandhya I am saying about the pooling results in our state as it is started and Ysr Congrees party is leading in many places.
Before 10 minutes, when vote counting of Neyyattinkara corporation completed, Congress took a lead of 4300 votes.
But nw...again another drama.....it reduced to 1300. 67% counting completed.
Yes, three parties having equal chances to win....perhaps first time in Kerala Assembly elections!!!!
Sandhya here already all of us know who is the winner but these are for just formality.

No yaar...counting not completed yet. It may take 1 hour more...
But now, winner is almost sure...against my and everyone 's prediction.
Though Congress candidate was at the third position till 67% votes completed, now almost sure, he will win
Now he is leading with 7102 votes...so almost sure
Now last round of counting has started...
Really unbelievable
If he wins, it will be added to History :woohoo: :woohoo: :woohoo: :woohoo: because it is for the first time, when a Communist MLA resigned and goes to Assembly after winning in opposite party :woohoo: :woohoo: :woohoo: :woohoo:
Sandhya now there is less chance for congress to win as it is just lead in two places.
Result is already in my hands!!!
Let me see anyone predict the correct winner!!!!!

I think BJP played a major role. Possibly, Congress candidate got benefit of division of anti ruling party votes.

Yes, BJP played a major role here, getting many Nair community votes as other two candidates belong to same community.
Congress made T.P. Murder its weapon against Communist party. They became success too...
Till 60% counting was completed, I have posted it, all the three parties had equal possibilities....slight difference of votes
When Neyyattinkara Corporation's votes were counted, Congress took a smart lead of 5000 votes.

Here, more than 82% polling was recorded this time, which is a record. But I missed it.
wow at last BJP got some positive attitude from people after a lot of years.
