Marriage without dowry

Even i never like to dowry marriage. I want to have the marriage with out dowry but when i said this to my parents they said that by the time such person you get, you will become old so i agreed with them. Now people are demanding10 to 20 lakhs as dowry.When they demand i feel very bad sometimes i feel like slapping them and say i should a daughter in law should give you money, why you want to rob others in the name of dowry. But what to do, i cannot due to my parents

Nowadays most of the parents and girl/boy who only looks for a working person and parents things that if both are working then they can easily run their family. But, i wont accept this.. :blink:

Even more dowry is given for bride/groom who is earning more. I have seen on many cases. :pinch:

Say No to Dowry!!

I knew that in india lots of cases are there,but after watching that episode of Satyamev jaythe,i was shocked after what is happening in our society.Most of the part was related to Punjabis.I am too punjabi,and my thoughts are totally different from what they have shown.
This should be stopped and our society should come up to stop this.

Well in Competitive life parents are forced to think that they should search for the girl who is having a job.Nothing wrong in that.When the parents are said wrong,when they live to that girls income.

My thoughts are something like this: I would like to marry an educated girl,but it would be upto her,to do a job or not to do a job.I won't force her in taking her decision.

All boys should keep one thing in their mind that they should ask for dowry,when go for search of girl.
Dowry is not good.
