It will be necessary to attend some Bhagwat Satsang or read a few Purana to know authentic source regarding Som Ras. But Hindus widely believe in this. Most of the things about Indra, Suras, asuras, Som rasa, Amrith are known by Hindus and even others through ancestors verbally.

Devis and devas- mean 'Gods and goddesses'. Both drank som rasa.
I think not only somras but some other associated products like Bhang, Dhatura, etc popular among the Devas and their bhaktgan. I can see many of them reaching to 'Nirvana' or 'Moksha' every day having consumed them. I am on the way Kanwaryatra rout from Delhi to Haridwar so best to describe the scenario.
