Isn't it cheating?

I am telling you something about how fake publicities are used to market their products.

Today, a textile showroom of a prominent group(already having a great brand name) is being inaugurated at Thrissur. 2 months before, they started giving ads in media - newspapers, banners, FM stations etc.......that Aiswarya Rai is inaugurating their new showroom. We didn't feel it surprising since, it's one among the top three groups of Kerala. Other two groups have recently brought Shah rukh and Mohan lal/Jayaram/Sreya for opening new show rooms. After some days they began to say it may be Aish or Katreena or Deepika or Karina or Mallika... thus keeping it as a suspense till yesterday. Everyone was sure, the person who inaugurates it will sure be, a great celebrity. Yesterday it's announced, the persons who are doing this are Bishop of Thrissur and Main poojari(Melshanthi) of Guruvayur.
Thus, giving names of some heroines, they got quick publicity for their showroom. Is it right to make peoples fools ? Also, is it allowed in Indian constitution....giving publicity by taking the names of celebrities?????

Sandhya they are doing business these are common in business. Or you may also think that the dates of celebrities could not managed with the opening so they dropped. We can think in this way also.

Always be positive to get good results in life

Sasi, what does it mean by
"Always be positive to get good results in life"

But how is it related to my question thread??
Law cannot help. People's mindset needs change. When you suffer from blind faith in celebrities, cult of personality and do not apply your mind, you are prone to cheating. I wonder how a cine artist, a priest or player advise us on quality of products. If you apply your mind and take these celebrities what they are actually for, nobody can cheat. Enjoy a film star role in films but do not listen to him when he acts as a model or brand ambassador. This is key to protection against the kind of cheating mentioned in the thread.

Sir, celebrities can of course advertise dresses, ornaments and accessories because people blindly follow stars....and marketing team is smartly using them.
But for the inauguration functions, people are coming just to see their hero/heroes...not to see the opening ceremony.
Sandhya with out small cheatings no one can do business. If they wont adopt such things then they will go into loss

But this is one of the leading brands of Kerala. Normally small firms do this dirty trick. But for a well-flourished brand, it has already brought a negative effect. I think, it is going to drop its sale.
Now it's fashion in Kerala to bring some celebrity for innauguration.
2 months before, one of the brands.....brought Allu Arjun for the renewal of an already existing show room, soon after Shah rukh was brought. Actually, it has become a competition between these 3 great groups

Nobody would come for opening ceremony. But they see the opening ceremony also even though their concern is only the celebrity star. Politicians also similarly use the celebrities in their election campaign. People can teach the organizer a lesson by attending to see the celebrities but exercise their mind while buying products.
Of course...if a showroom is inaugurated by a popular actor, we can see a crowd. But if it's done by a politician or priest, only showroom girls and boys will see the function
Sandhya this we won't say a cheating this is publicity stunt which most of the companies do not a big thing it is. :)
Yes Sandhya this is a publicity stunt for increasing their business.

But, does a leading brand want such a publicity? Doesn't it affect their image?

I can't understand because crores of money were spend with 2 months for ads. But they never need that much money to bring a celebrity. Am I not right?

It is said that Shah rukh bought 10 crore for inauguration at Kochi.
No it wont effect it will give more craze to them as the public will come to that place to buy at that day.

They will come to see but they wont come. SO they will see the shop and buy minimum handkerchief. It is also one of the sale.

Any newly opened showroom will have rush, at least for 1 month. No doubt. But if it's inaugurated by a celebrity, it becomes a symbol of status
This is a fake publisity and they want to increase their sale.

No yaar...at first they told its Ash. We believed it since, she is now becoming brand ambassador of a jewellery shop. Next it was told, it's not Ais, But Katrina. Next it was told Kareena. Then they advertised it as any one of these three. 2 weeks before, they began to add some new names, asking people to guess who will be among these 5 or 6.
Yesterday, they revealed the truth :cheer:
Let me quote a nice incident 2weeks before that innauguration.
I was in deep sleep early morning, when my husband called me with newspaper in hand. His voice was really worrying and I thought some very bad news....
He came near me...(I was still in my sleeping mood) saying...."Sandhya, Aiwarya coming is not taht Aiswarya...some another girl. Look at this picture".
He showed me picture of a young girl walking on thread mill saying "The celebrity coming may be Ash"..the caption.
He asked me, have you seen this girl before? I have not seen this Aiswarya anywhere..may be a new heroine...
I have to comfort him saying....this is a model who is saying "Ash may be coming".

I was in a sleepy mood, so he escaped :woohoo:

Actually I can't say anything, if he loves to see her that much. Actually, when Shahrukh came here, i also was in the same mood
Then how can I complain.... :P
This is nice joke but dont say to sarala she will come when you say sharukh.
