There is another shocking news. In Nepal, a ceremony is held in which blood is drawn from a live Yolk and the people drink the blood. They view that drinking blood of yolk is good for health.The ceremony is an old practice since the particular region was part of Tibet, ruled by Buddhist Lamas. It is also a sad commentary on Tibetan (or Nepali) Buddhists who claim to be kind and non violent.

Now in Maharashtra a woman sacrificed on advice of a tantrik five children. she would have sacrificed more if not caught. This is the evil influence of religious tantrik gurus and saints.

The recent shocking news is of a devotee's attempt to cut his neck for offering to Vaishno Devi- a deity in Jammu. It iws high time we awaken against the dark practices like human or animal sacrifice to please gods/ deities.

One more shocking news read two days ago.A man who himself is the priest of the temple in his house sacrificed three of his children and suicided before a diety.

Abid- You have seen how the tantriks and Babas are misguiding people. The innocent and superstitious people have blind faith in these so called saints and babas. We need a sort of cultural revolution against such barbaric practices like animal or human sacrifice. Let us recall that there was a great leader- Raja Ram Mohan Roy who ended the Sati system- burning of widows with husbands. We again need raja ram mohan Roy kind of people who could save our country from such fake babas and saints and evil practices.

Eventhough the world is so much developed the superstitions also are developing !!!

In kanshiramnagar (Uttar Pradesh), a Tantrik told an issue less couple that they could beget a son if they sacrificed a young boy to deity. The couple kidnapped a neighbor's small child and sacrificed him to deity as suggested by the Tantrik.
It is astonishing that in spite of all such bizarre and cruel occurrences, the Government are doing nothing to curb the activities of these tantriks and babas and also allowing the TV channels to glamorize the saints, babas, tantriks and connected superstitions.

These practices should be stopped . Whether it is human or any living creatures..There should not be any sacrifice or killing for any purpose.

Sacrifice to please a deity is very heinous. Moreover, it is disgusting how a man kills anther's child to get a child of his own with deity blessing.

This tells us how much people are living in the darkness of Ignorance.

Today dead body of a three year old child found. suspected 'sacrifice' (Bali). As long as drastic steps are not taken against tantriks, babas and Sadhus, we cannot prevent such occurrences.

In some deep jungles in africa we can see maneatering people...I dont know what we call them..But i think to some extent we can stop those people but stopping this old and superstitious customs really needs good support. As said raja rammohan roy is need we need a group of raja rammohans roys( not a single one) to eradicate such system. Another thing is such crimes are done secretly and the places are not know by many people...So police may not reach them. A common man has lot of strength to fight against such evil if he has a will.

One example is students revolution made some pending cases solved in court(Priyadarsani).

The exploitation of illiterate is still continuing.What can we do against this?

What a pity... where is India going..... hope lot of awareness should be given to people of rural areas.

Now I am daily reading news of some child sacrifice. If I write all, I have to daily add to this thread. Our society is in dark ages despite scientific advancement. The educated youth seem to be more interested in personal career rather than doing something to eradicate such criminal superstitious acts. We need many raj Ram Mohan Roys. This has been rightly said in this thread.

Today I am horrified at the news of a similar ghastly incident involving killing a middle-aged man as sacrifice for Goddess Kali.This place is in Bhirbhoom district of West Bengal.

Really very disgusting. It is said what Bengal thinks today, India does tomorrow. It is very surprising that incidents like human sacrifice to deity should occur in the land of Raja Ram Mohan Roy.

This is purely illeteral and tribal communal activities. that should be campaign to awareness the people that cannot be in future activities. Behavior therapy is very necessary in these effected areas. :unsure:

I think it may not be superstition only which acted as the motive as I am not ruling out some other dark motives too.

Chinmoy- There could be other motives as well. The other motives get hidden in the circumstances as everyone feels that this is a case of superstitions belief.
