Changed a friend or changed yourself??????

It is often said that we choose a friend with his defects, never put conditions to change any character/habit of him etc etc. Yet, if we are a sincere friend, we can often change some bad characters/habits of him. Isn't it? Have you ever done it for your friend successfully? Also, has any friend of yours changed a bad character of yours? :P :P :P :P
