Caste of Politicians

Country is definitely most important. But what the people think. The politicians need votes. They will do anything that appeals votes.

The cast system and its misuse has ruined this country. Now the politicians are taking full advantage of this vote catching trick.

Ofcourse country is more important than caste..but still most of them will give importance to caste and vote the politicians of their own caste. That's why politicians take advantage. I feel it is we common people who create the problem by voting wrong politician but it will never change..

I know the cast system, regionalism and small matters have taken deep roots and these will take us no where. People start fighting over the small things in place of making others aware about their own culture.

Yes what all said is perfect but sensitive issues like religion, caste and even gender are influencing politicians now-a-days.

There is a new twist. Now TMC has reduced politics also to a sort of caste. Inter caste marriage is not preferred. But so far inter- political marriage was allowed. TMC has issued a guide line or Fatwah to members that CPI(M)members as well as supporters not be considered for marital relations. Thus from now onward, political affiliation is also an issue in marriage. However, it is not yet clear whether the existing relation between workers/ supporters of CPI(M) and TMC should be broken and divorce sought.

Yes sandhya they are using this as their weapons on public to gain votes.

If majority of voters of a particular area are Muslims, they will select a Muslim candidate. If majority belongs to a separate category of Hindus, they will try to post a Hindu candidate of that particular caste. Isn't it?

Yes this is true they need only votes but not doing good for people.

According to me caste and division of states and country will give us nothing. Instead it makes the situation worst. If politician really wants to do something good to us then they should better work for the upliftment of poor peoples. People who hardly get anything to eat. Uplifting backward caste and supporting them is of no use. They are getting benefits from government. However the poor people includes both general as well as backward caste people. Rahul Gandhi and others should mainly work for them.

This is against fundamental rights. Each and every citizen has right to marry according to their choice in India. TMC is not doing good.

Devayani they wont give us nothing but they will be more useful to politicians.

TMC is not forcing people not to marry CPI(M) member or supporter by law. This is internal matter of TMC. If the Trinmool Congress decides against marrying or even taking tea with CPI(M)/ Left members/ supporters, they may do so. But this is ridiculous and funny.

Even TMC members are feeling amused by such arrogant, stupid and laughable attitude of TMC leadership. Recently, a professor was arrested for posting a cartoon on Mamata Banerjee. This is causing resentment. A TMC member has composed a song. Follow the link:

No caste is not at all important and the people who are running this country should understand it better than the common people. :)

But this never happens and they do all non sense things on the name of caste/religion and Babri masjid is one of the best example for which BJP always try to get votes from people. :(

Now they have announced a new survey that will count people based on cast and economical conditions. That would help them in their cause all the more. Funny, and they say they want to eradicate cast system in this country.
