I have never faced such but I have seen few of them in bus or trains caught by police.

then it may be the same thief who liked your dad's mobiles very much :woohoo:
I have lost my wallet many times. But seldom lost money. I have money elsewhere and keep only very small amount or coins to fool the thieves.

Ha ha....but nowadays buying a good wallet also costs more. If so, pickpockets can sell new wallets and make money more easily

I never lost a new wallet. Generally, the wallet is many years old. The pick pockets succeed very rarely with me and even then find nothing worthwhile.
The effects of inflation seldom allow us carry money in our wallets or purses. So now a days theif and burglars are more concentrating on ATM's etc ;) So not worried about losing my wallet. Even if I lose it he wont get anything useful than some paid bills or to be paid bills. :P

I lost my purse once but it never was stealed

'stealed' is not correct. 'stole' is correct. But this may be used in active and not passive voice. Hence, 'a thief stole my wallet.' or 'my wallet was stolen by a thief.'
Sandhya fortunately they have concentrated on wallets as well as mobiles to earn good income for a day.
