Is our marriage system is right?

There is nothing wrong with the system. This is okay if there is not too much rigidity. This should not be an obstacle if a boy and girl wish to marry out of mutual love.

Dowry, caste, Ghotra- all these are byproduct of arranged marriage. But arranged marriage is very much part of our society. If people are happy with this, nobody can object. But too much rigidity and greed result in ill consequences. Dowry system needs be checked. Also, caste rigidity should go. There should be no obstacle to genuine love marriages.

I may point out that 'Is' has been superficially used before 'right'. The 'is' in beginning suffices.

Any system is right or wrong depending on what we make of it...including marriages!

I don't think there is anything wrong in arranged marriage. It's totally depend on the people. They can choose anything if both parties have no problem.. he he

I do not find any problem with the Indian marriage system. Arranged marriages are taking place in Indian societies since ancient times and nowdays it has become very less complicated and rigid. People do not see the patrikas and janma-kundalis in details. But I personally think that a rough review of the patrika should be done since it has got its own importance.

yes, in both arranged marriage and love marriage people are misusing by cheating ladies by marrying and leaving

It is very sad to know that in many places child marriages still exists..... Parents are forcefully giving her to a new family, when she is not mature, both physically and mentally.

There exist many systems even in arranged marriages, one should specify if a marriage which is arranged by the consent of parents of both the parties is okay or not? Yes every system has its plus and minus points but arranged marriage is good because then many people come forward to support it if any thing goes wrong.

I think love marriage is better because in love marriage we understand each other and spent our whole life ......................
