We have 1652 articles submitted till today and we have only 300 posts in forums.

I think forums give more page impressions so senior members please stay active in forums and also help new members to post articles and advice them to stay active in forums for while.
but we cant force any one

I only said that we should have 2 leader boards, one for forum posts and the other for READING articles. That will bring doodh ka doodh and Panee ka Panee. Mixing both these is not a fair game for honest ones.

I would say why not do away with points for reading articles ,instead give one point when a relevant comment is left on the article ..

Good suggestion but that would again lead to indiscriminate commenting on articles. If only a relevant comment were to be granted points, which would be the ideal scenario, then it should be done manually by admin and moderators.

I agree that is too much effort and not practical, so better to do away with points for reading articles  or if it is needed for revenue generation , better to limit the number per day

Actually, if it is worked out properly, then it would mean a great difference to the site. I am sure most other sites moderate/review the comments before publishing. It can work well here too but only if admin takes it seriously and is willing to pay something for doing that job. And as you say, it is not so practical here, limiting them to, say, 10 articles a day can work.

I request the moderators to take some action as we're way past final warnings. No one's in the mood for constructive discussion when a member keeps on replying to ancient threads.

We have done all we can to make the member toe the line, but beyond a certain limit, it is the admin who needs to step up which is not happening here! anguished

If I am not mistaken nowadays the comments given to an article are not automatically published but are subjected to review by the administrator. Though I don't know when does he review them.

I though endorse the suggestion given by Usha of doing away with the system of giving points to read an article. Reading something should be for our pleasure. Why let someone who doesn't even bother to read the article misuse the system?

I am not sure why comments posted on articles need to be reviewed ...in fact other than forum participation which too shd be restricted iny opinion , all other points should be stopped ..

Ya people can actually communicate and socialize in forum!

Depends on what kind of communication and what kind of socialisation ...

Forums are a ideal platform for discussions. I feel as if I am speaking with my fellow members. In fact, now a days,I remain in the forums entire day. It may not be true for others. It's wholly my opinion.

The most important aspect of any form  of communication is mutual dialogue,  not imposing oneself on others because there is nothing better to do , which is nothing but shamelessness ..

I think mutual dialogue is possible in forums. Forcing one's opinions is uncalled for.

Forcing your opinion and your self on other members is something that you have become an expert at. .

No. It is just a wrong opinion. By the way, if some body forces his opinion, I am not the gne to fall for it, unless I am convinced

Well ...you are a very wise know all ...all are not as wise or knowledgeable as you are which is why most of your posts go way over our heads , i guess only you can see any sense in them...

According to me, the article contains a lot more than forums. But the article is the result of only one's intelligence while forum which includes a lot of answers is an outcome of so many people's judgment. So, obviously, the forum should be given more importance.

But I believe that instead of giving points on reading article points should be given if someone provides suggestion through a comment on the article. It will improve the quality an article too.

I agree With you.Through forms, members derive pleasure and at the same time earn money too.

Yes I agree with that and thats what some of us members have been expressing in our posts earlier, not to give points for reading articles since it is being misused ..
