I think Google see the keywords and the subject of the article.. If they are famous then they will got the priority.. Also if article is about some latest and important news, google can give it more priority.
not just the quality but also it should have all the contents of the topic so that it gives the clear meaning because sometimes the quality of words are good but its not complete.
You know with the number of google' search engines all over the world they read every world and stack them in their own was. Also they have a system that categorize to make their own priorities.

It depends upon keywords and related search.
They read every word of it, key words are for people who are looking for any particular person or subject that we are searching for. They only open it for us according to our desired keywords.
Google does not give preference to color, it gives preference to the quality of the content in the article. According to the quality Google give page rank.If page rank increases then the visitor to your content also increases.
Colors have a very important role to play in a blog. they can change the whole meaning, please check (not a ref link please)

I heard google prefer colour for the webdesign, this is the first time i heart that it even prefer color for content also. Thank you rayansh for sharing this link
I can even specify about which color combinations are most preferred by google and they read them on priority basis. Red is their first choice and if it comes with cherry red to support, nothing to beat it.
