Now, I have decided to achieve better communication skills in English. :evil: My husband says, there is a bit difference between written and spoken English.
Can you guide me with some simple tips? :)

Rajani, you are totally right. sandhya, although there are English speaking courses now given to management students, the fact still remains that the actual practice is not enough and then again, it totally depends upon a person how much more that person is willing to work harder to improve.
So the focus should be upon more and more practice speaking English and noting down where one is going wrong and stress to correct those imperfections!

You are bang on! All these courses are designed to cover the essential aspects of communicational English which need to be followed up with intense practical exercises in real life situations!

See Chinmoy's reply on this post!! Also speaking good English or for that matter any language, it is not just about facing a big audience but doing equally well in speaking with a single person or a few people!

Spoken English actually means informal conversation with single or a few persons. Speaking before audience is altogether different and that is usually monologue. You may deliver a prepared lecture before audience but need to speak extempore during conversation.
