Now, I have decided to achieve better communication skills in English. :evil: My husband says, there is a bit difference between written and spoken English.
Can you guide me with some simple tips? :)

The better way is to read daily news paper with dictionary to get fast english. This is told by my father.

Reading newspaper will help in increasing vocabulary. But you need supplement this with (1) reading aloud (2) Listening TV/ Radio news (3) verbal discussions

These steps will better your pronunciation and fluency in spoken English.
Arjun whatever you said is right, but it is difficult to continue the process. I feel, the work which we do in daily life we may come across alot of words which we dont know, we can search those words in dictionary and try to know who to use those words
No amount of mugging words would help in this exercise! Why don't you listen to audio files of some great English novels with their text right in front of you!

I remember i started learning 10 words daily from dictionary long way back but thats of no use as i forgot as i could make them use anywhere :evil: .Only and only way by which one can learn spoken English is to communicate people/discuss topics with others in English. :)
Now a day there are so many English learning courses that are available in form of Cds just purchase that and by sitting to your home.You learn better English.
Yes I am following and collecting the words which I learnt so that to improve my english..

Yes I have learned a few languages this way but am not able to write them. I must lean to write also.
Learning will be easy but writing is difficult as I want to learn chinese but I cannot understand it.

OK try on you will be but as you won't get people with whom you could talk in Chinese so it will be difficult for you to learn it.Writing Chinese is difficult but you can learn it provided there is someone who can teach you. :laugh:
To develop English, the new words which come across in our daily life is good to see the dictionary and know the meaning
