Many criminals are given this severe punishment in India, 'Hanged till death'. But, it remains in papers only as we have seen only a few cases where, actually this punishment has given. Also, we often see him going to appeal and after a few years,lessens his punishment as 'life sentence'. Thus he is escaping from the hands of law leaving all others just fools.
Do you think our country has to implement this punishment seriously as that it may bring more fear in society and prevent them from committing many serious offenses.
Also, I always feel that our federal constitution takes more time to punish convicts and gives them more freedom asking more proofs. What do you think?

yes, you are right sasi. So for such people recently one incident occured. I hope you know. that incident name is REVENGE.
one year ago one guy has pour acid on a girl. and that girl has dead. and the guy was cought by police. but with in few months he came out on bail. Later he went to jail. recently he got release from jail. On the release day itself the brother of that girl poured Acid on that culprit.brother said this revenge.

Hanging is justified only in cases of terrorism, heinous murder and mutiny against state. But even in such grave cases, it is not possible to hang the convict for political reasons.
Murderer of ex Punjab C.M. is sentenced to death. But there is political pressure not to hang him. His hanging has been stayed.
will it not be better to abolish death sentence totally.
