Cartoons are interesting device of education as well as entertainment. A cartoon can convey lot of meaning. Children can learn topics like history better through cartoons. However, there is need to check addiction of such channels.

Addiction of anything can be bad. :)

My kids do watch cartoon channel they learn things from it.Many of the rhymes they learned from the cartoons only not from their playway. :laugh:

Continuous watching television is bad to eyes specially the cartoon.

I don't think its bad.. Its good if children see cartoon after completing their work..

Just keep them in limit as every thing in excess is bad. But cartoons make a child sharp and each to react better.

yes, there is some what harm in watching cartoon network. funny cartoons are ok. But some of the cartoons effect children. Few years before, They have announced in news that due to some cartoon serial most of the children were became scarde and fell ill

Then same goes for all other channels, where they show such things. Because children watch every thing these days.

I think watch Tv after a limitation is harmful but if your child watch it in a limitation it is good.

Cartoon is more harm than good to young kids...I think so.
24 hours Cartoon network really makes them addict. They will never find interest in anything except those animated funny pictures.
I think, it will really affect their brain development too.

Before 2, my girl never watch cartoons.
Before 2, she learned mouse clicks. Within 6 months she was so interested in Computers that, she her own searches her own favourite songs, pictures etc from system. We just need to show them just once. She even identifies a file with its alphabet looks and its position in that folder.
She even know to go to a file using start button. Also, you can place her within any subfolder of another drive of the system, but she will search her own subfiles using address bar. I also thought that within 1 year, she will learn word, paint, excel etc....
But at 2.5 her interests stick on to cartoons only. :huh:
Later she didn't try to study anything.

Too much addiction is surely not good. If it is watched in limited than it is good.
