I have no religious faith and as such devotional songs do not carry meaning to me. However some of these are enchanting. The songsby anup Jalota are superb. I like the song- Aisi lagi lagan, Meera Ho gayi Magan. Also some film devotional songs are also superb. 'O Duniye ke rakhwale' of Baiju Bawra is one.

I hear when they telecast in tv.
@ Sandhya gteat to know that you hear devotional songs. :)
People these days don't like these songs. :(
Why can't I hear devotional songs?
Just before we came to Thrissur main town, we were living in Kodungallur. Opposite row of our house, there is a Subramaniya temple, a small one, but it was really a great thing to hear Subhashitham at 5.30 am every morning and devotional songs will be played every morning and evening(till deepaaradhana). It is really a nice experience to hear such songs and deeparadhana's instrumental music at 'Sandhya' time. I very rarely go to temple. But watch it from my house......temple filled with lamps.
Radio and TV, used to air them regularly them before but now they are not doing so.
TV channels telecast devotional songs in morning and so the late risers cannot watch these. Radio is not common these days. Actually, it is the musical affect that lends charm to a song- Devotional or anything.
