As we move forward, many things are left far behind. Yet we can't forget them and whenever we see them incidentally we really feel very happy. Even a forgotten song can give you a nostalgic feeling. It is for sure, we can't see many things now that we commonly saw some 20 years back.
eg. A tape recorder, a cassette and even 5 paise or 10 paise coin.

Why can't we travel backward for sometime and bring back some of them to cherish our memories?

Check my old fridge. I used to make my ice cream by shaking and mixing salt constantly.

Salt in ice cream? :woohoo: :woohoo: :woohoo: :woohoo:

We call it 'Kooja' which keeps water cool. Isn't it?
I see people still using it in some parts of our country especially old people, who like the taste of water from this pot.

But what about salt with ice cream :woohoo:
I can't understand
You know people in our part can make ice cream using earthen pots. Putting milk in molds, sealing them and shaking them adding salt and ice for some time. Check 'Kulfi' making on google.
very interesting sunilji, I ever heard that earlier people used to prepare ice cream in earthen pots. This is really wonderful to hear

Even now, there is 'kulfi' or ice cream made in 'mataka' (earthen pot) available with road side vendors at Agra though these are fewer.
I remember manual ice cream making machine that would need ice and salt in the outer part whereas milk and other ingredients would be in inner part. The machine was manually operated by a handle.

They come in different tastes and flavors. Milk is mixed with different ingredients and crushed dry frutes to make it special. This is altogether different in taste.
Pani Puri 1rs- 10 pieces (now 5/- 10 pieces)

Burger 15/- veg burger(now 40/- veg burger)

Maggi 100 gm-10 RS( now it is 90 gms 10 Rs)

Egg was 0.25 paise per egg(now each egg is 3/-)

This is Nostalgia...................
Whenever my granpa told me gold was 50/ a tola, about 12 gms, we used to stare him in disbelief, but I know he was right and see the rate today. That 12gms would cost almost 35k

Salt is not mixed with ice cream. Milk and other ingredients are kept separately in small containers. The Ice and salt are not in direct touch with milk. So no affect on taste

10 years before, a local call costs 1 rupee and STD minimum 3 rupee. Now, both available in 10 paise
That's right, the molds are sealed with wet flour and salt of course is used to bring temperature down to below zero while mixed with ice. That helps Ice cream to get set fast.
