School discipline- students' complaint

The matter mentioned above is disgusting. However, I want to mention that in some cases, teachers willingly beat students just to take revenge from their parents. They willingly give them less marks in exam and mentally harass students. This makes students weak in studies. They fail in exam and becomes demotivated. Some teachers also teach wrong things and if parents complain against them, they react negatively.

Problem with our all institutions is that they lack integrity and also take extreme view on each matter.

Punishment is necessary in every field. But this should not be for revenge. This is for correction. There must be proper punishment for act of indiscipline or misconduct. This should be according to rules and neither arbitrarily nor angrily.

Now corporal punishment is removed in most places. But when this was enforced, entry in discipline book was made for offence and punishment viz. number of cane strokes on palms/ knicker or skirt. A few years back, there was rule for caning on palm maximum ten strokes in Delhi.

Punishment is necessary but not physically.It should be in such way that he will get shame.

I agree. .. Physically punishment for students is not needed..There are other ways for that .

Physical punishment these days is against the law and a teacher can get a can against him/her if does it with the student. :)

Teachers should understand that physical punishment is not the only thing by which they can make students disciplined. :)

Punishment is must but in extreme conditions. Lack of punishment is one reason that is making students behaving the way they are. Besides teachers are also not bothered much just because they are helpless.
