Today an unpredicted harthal is conducted by BJP all over Thrissur District, Kerala related to Paliakkara toll booth.
When they occur unexpectedly, it will surely affect many persons' daily schedule and plans. Harthals are often good  . But is it good to announce them just before one day, which may not give people suitable time to make arrangements for the next day? What is your opinion?

All India strike affects nation. Kolkata the city of strikes and Bandhs is comparatively normal as the current government has taken strict view against strike.

Surprisingly, all political party based trade unions including INTUC, Congress sponsored, and BMS, BJP are participating in the general strike.

Today is a national hoilday
I think all are enjoying it, except our Alam :(
There is more affect of Hartal in West Bengal contrary to first news. Kerala is also affected. Congress, BJP and LEFT sponsored all trade unions are participating.

The Congress rues at the center. BJP also rules in many states. The unions backed by these parties can pressurize the respective governments to meed demands. Strike is not understood.
