Living condition of people of a state is entirely different from another one. It is primarily because of the wages paid to workers(most of them are illiterate). Isn't it?
Let us share minimum wages of workers in each state and find living condition of which one is best and which one is worst.
My state is Kerala. Here wages of a male worker starts from 400-450 and can't get a worker below that. (Sorry, I can't say anything about northern districts, perhaps Abid can say). What about your state? :)

I am basically from Punjab now in Haryana after division although not living there any more, but a skilled labor is really charges well for his/her expertise. And trust me home help is one of the most costly labor rather a rare thing.
Can you give the approximate figures?
No I do not want to make them still costlier, after all they are also reading these answers, those home helpers.

Im from coimbatore, working in a textile industry. Our industry a normal tailor earns min 500rs per day and if a printing master works for 12 to 18 hours hard then he earns 1000 rs per day also.
Tailoring business in Kerala is also a very good profitable business. Stitching charges for a churidar is minimum 400-450 rupees here. So, sure, she can stitch minimum 4 per day. Same is the case of gents' dress too....I think minimum 500 rupees for a pant.
Can you figure out other industries, where a common man works, such as construction?
his seems to be a little too much for a churidar or pair of trousers. In our places you can get them done for almost one third of that price. I shall rather use the traditional clothes in Kerala, to save lots of money.
You don't need to wear Churidaar
It is better to buy readymade dress for gents rather than stitching
You can also opt for cream colour dhoti here
For that matter there are many states in India are too better off where the wages are good and industries are free from frequent labor strikes. Now that Bengal is under Mamta Banerjee a prominet leader, let us see what she does. But I am ot much hopeful as she drove Tata away from there and that made a big minus point to state.
