England is part of United Kingdom consisting of England, Scotland, Wales. English originated from England but now native speakers of this language are also in U.S.A., Canada, Australia and New Zeeland. English is second language in many countries.

'People' is a collective name meaning group of people. But 'Peoples' is also a word to be used when referring to more than one nation and communit viz. Indian and Chinese Peoples.

English land is grammatically okay but we cannot change a proper name. England is name of a country and this can not be changed by anyone arbitrarily.

Friends according to me, England is the only country whoes sun never sets. Country who had once conquered the whole world. Regarding language, English has been created from French. Indian English is different from the English spoken and written in London and USA. Students who go abroad for higher studies, they learn English and give English test. If they pass in English, they are admitted for higher studies other wise they come back to India. Medium of education in India hardly matters to them.
This is bitter truth.

Devyani, English is not created from French language, old English which now evolved into modern English that we use was very much different from French language. Also, since it has now come to a point where English is not avoidable anywhere, why not just accept it as a universal language and indulge in its delights! I personally feel that any manner of communication, irrespective of whether it is Indian or foreign origin, is worthy of respect as it expresses what we want to express efficiently.

Yes, but unlike those who give in to English and express contempt about our Indian languages, I hate such people!

Sure, England is part of United Kingdom where English language originated from. Do you know most employers in UK are worried as they are not getting Brit boys who can use proper English. We are only using it for communicating method as our second, third or even 4th language so nothing to worry. You are okay in your own way.

England means English land.The whole world spoke English because English people have colonies in almost all places.

We all read, write, talk and learn English.
It's a common Langauage that all people need to communicate between the whole world speaking their own language.
