That is a bad news for me as I always kept him in my team whenever i was playing an online team selection game. He was one of the best and always proved a great choice.
All are retiring one by one, Great cricketers one by one. First, Ganguly...when I felt in really bad. Then.....many followed him. How many days are now left for Sachin and Dravid. I just can't imagine a cricket world without them :(
He stop playing cricket?? That means he will be not be on IPL too.. That's too sad. He is the great player.
Yes he already declared that he would not play IPL too.
Ganguly was my favorite captain.
I think Andrue simonds still have good cricket but its bad news for us we will miss symonds.

He should at least play IPL. I guess he should join as coach or commentator so he can get touch with cricket at least.
I knew it when he came as a guest in BIG BOSS that he is going to retire very soon and what else he could do because Austrailian selection committee was neglecting him :) .And i think its time for PONTING to take retirement.See whne he takes it. :)

Yes he has not taken retirement but if Australian selection committee neglects him like other senior Aussie players then he would too take it soon. :)

Ya, its a generational change, we have to slowly get used to the newer players in the team.
That's sad! I loved to watch him perform in twenty 20 matches!

Than May be I misunderstood or may be not.. not sure. I have read in the news paper. Because of his bad performance in tri series he was left out from the team and than he took retirement from ODI.. That's what I read.. But now I guess I am not sure.
