They use 'gold dust' (Swarna Bhasma' in the medicine. you would have seen the advertisement of Sona Chandi chyavan Prash.

Earlier, platinum was the valuable metal than gold. But now gold has more value.

Now, about your question.
If we sell gold, we will get its market value on that day. But it is not the case of platinum. (Some days before I asked a jewellery shop)
If we try to sell our Platinum ornaments, I think we will only get its half in return. So, nobody prefers to buy platinum.
SO, never buy platinum. I am saying this to everyone who wants to buy platinum ornaments If you want, prefer gold ornaments with 'white gold'. I think gold is oxidised to get white colour and it shines as silver, giving good patterns to gold ornaments.
So you can buy gold ornaments with white gold patterns for your wife, Sasi :laugh:

Yes, sure. Gold is the best piece of investment. You will surely get its money back. If you don't want to buy ornaments, just buy pure gold of 5 gm, 10 gm etc. It will surely save you from making cost

Traditionally gold is considered to me more pure and auspicious than other materials......I have likeness for pearls but my family members did not allow me to wear pearls on my marriage day.they said gold implies a good sign.......

Investing in Gold is far good to invest in platinum.As day or year progresses it give you more benefit.With the passes of time it become more beautiful.In our history there is a lots more discuss about gold.That's why In history time India is known "A Bird of Gold".

Ornament is primarily for looking good. If gold looks better than platinum, there is no use why gold not be preferred.

I guess we having this same thing since long.. Surely platinum is more precious than gold but still people only going for gold... May be because people like to have golden jewellery more..

Because we don't get ornaments of platinum. :)

Moreover i think gold is more ductile than platinum but i am not sure. :)
