One significant feature of jealousy is that this is against near and known person. You will be jealous of your friend, neighbor or brother who you are in contact with. You will not be jealous of remote person. To illustrate- you cannot be jealous of Bill Gates but the success of your next door neighbor will make you so. From this comes remedy for curbing jealousy. If you free mental attachment from neighbors, friends and others and treat them like distant personalities, there will be no jealousy.
