Yes this is true in some cases but some site take you to log-in/register page if you are not member of that site.

yes, am talking about some of the forum sites. I found most of the such forums sites visiting without loging in or register. but we can visit but we cannot participate in the discussion. If we are interested to participate in discussion then we need to register and then login.
