Every woman thinks, her husband should resemble some hero of past or epic. Whom will you prefer?
1. Rama- great person, a good king with excellent qualities, but asked Sita to do 'Agni Pareeksha' . Also left her in forest when she was pregnant, hearing the words of people
OR
2. Krishna - Who is very naughty, romantic and very lovely, but always loves fluttering with girls.
What is your choice? :P

I believe no woman would like a cruel and unjust husband like Rama. Krishna would be natural choice for woman. If so many girls could be happy with Krishna, he is definitely an ideal mate for women.

Why Agni pareeksha for Sita only? Why not Ram?

Well said everything was OK except the agni pariksha.
Rama was good in every thing he did and performed his duties well as a son, brother, husband, king :) that's why he is worshiped all over India and every girl like to have her husband like him. :) If i were a girl surely i would like to have a husband like him but the irony is no more Rama's are born these days these days we find more of a Ravans now a days.
No one is perfect, even the persons in question have some flaws but we should be happy with the one we already have. :woohoo:
@Sanjeev

So, she has to make her choice from all ravans wandering around :) :P
Even Ravan was not a bad person in himself. He was acting according to wishes of Lord Shiva. Had he been a bad person, he could have done what he did not do. This was all according to wishes of God.

So, are you supporting Ravanan?
Don't put blame on God that Ravana did all those things according to the wish of God.
I am not supporting neither Ram nor Ravan. I take them as mere stories, nothing more.
@Sunil
Can you tell me how can you say that Ravana did all things according to the wish of Lord shiva. So You mean ravana kidnapping sita also Lord shiva wish?
This is not correct sunil. and due to this it may be a sin on you.
oh but you should support Rama at least we do worship him on deewali.
We started off with Rama and Krishna. But now discussion is on Rama and Ravana. Really interesting and very funny :woohoo:

She actually made her choice among Ravans but she did not know that the man who she married is just opposite of Ravan.
Now people became ravans but previously there are very rare people who are ravans

But some people worship ravan as god too!!!!!
Then you will have to deny 'huihe wohi jo ram rach rakha' (Ultimately the result would be the same as god has planned for) Deny it and I take my statement back. If God has destined every thing according to his wishes, how can they be otherwise?
There is a famous Malayalam novel, "Gowarthanante yaathrakal" (Travels of Gowarthanan) written by Anand. Malayalam students study this book at college.
Same sentence is quoted there. I have also written like this some years before,
"If life is like a chess board and we are like players who plays according to someone else's will(fate), should we hard work for achieving a goal"
In that poem...actually, I have not found my answer :P ...till now also.

But one thing I will say, at any point of our time, our destiny may change....even without our knowledge. Some call it fate, some call it God's will.
You can call it...as you wish
Actually, I don't think everything is going according to God's will. According to Hindu puranas, 'evil' is also there and battle goes on between good and evil. Sometimes, good may win, sometimes bad may win....and all those happening are consequences of this war.

So, God is in the side of good....So, clearly it means, he want this world to be good....which is not happening always.
i.e. God's desire.....not god's control. Hoping you can understand :cheer:

Sunil, is your doubt cleared now.

Astrologers had predicted that she would be the cause of Ravan's death. He had the blessings of Lord shiva that he would never die until Ram killed him. I trust this

It is often told, we are send to earth to fulfill dreams of God. Definitely not, he is there to fulfill our dreams. also, we have some defects. So god sending us to earth to learn our mistakes, complete our life journey and return back.
i.e. No one will be send to earth if he is perfect :woohoo: :woohoo:
Ravan did not kidnap Sita to harm her but to create a reason so that Rama would kill him otherwise he would never got Moksha.

Ya, I have heard that story too.
But which one should I believe?
There is a story that sita is Raavan's daughter :)
If he wanted to harm her who was to stop him doing so. But this was only to give Ram a reason to kill him. You know those days such stories were common. Like Krishna killed so many Demons who had the blessings to live for ever.
