Heres a suggestion..the minimum no. of characters required to get 5 points in a post can be increased in order to get better and more detailed answers...what say guys?

Yes you are right but for better quality boddunan can offer other section like expert answers forum so there could be put 100 char min but putting restriction here will not ok for all members.

If points gets increase for posting. then automatically no. of post will gets increase and new post will be posted. so, i think it never bore.

yes nice idea vinodh..if the min. required characters for getting points on posts is increased and the points given on posts is also increased then the quality as well as the no. of posts might increase.

Not agree dear. If answer does not require so much words then its wrong to put extra words. Answer means answer.

well yea lohit some answers are better said short but then just leaving things as they are now will not help either , right?...but long answers will also not be wrong..but i guess some new solution is required then

I suggest that the system of automatic credit of five points be replaced by a review of weekly performance and assignment of points and cash similar to that for articles. This will ensure improvement in forum posts/ threads.

its a nice idea but i think if the crediting of points is done on weekly basis then the level of participation might fall.
but certainly worth a try.

As weekly review itself takes too much time and if monthly then it consumes even more time. I don't think both won't work.

Yes by doing so you can definitely improve the quality of forums in boddunan. But the number of posts in the forums will get decreased.
