Race for No.1 spot!

I agree. The sports are unpredictable and continuous forecasting and discussions help no body. But this is the job of the commentators and they can't help it.

Why we should waste time on these matters? Number 1 or number2 what is its use to common man?

Do you know that India's Cricket Board is the richest board in the world and it is fetching us lots of money for the government and for people below poverty line and we are able to see that there atleast unity between India and Pakistan in sports like cricket, Hockey etc.........

I also agree that there is too match stress for the players especially in cricket...

stress is there i agree. But money they also get for taking this stress.

Why single out India alone when we talk about stress? It's affecting the players of other test-playing nations too!

Being No 1 is always a result of perseverance and diligence.The team should concentrate on putting their best and not worry about the stats.If they win we praise them,if they lose we yell at them...in the end we are the ones who forget its a game and nothing is constant here.But I do agree,they are under stress.

All cricket playing nations are under stress but the amount of money and fame that these cricketers get is exceptional.....

Winning the finale of a tournament is just winning one match which establishes the supremacy of the winning team for some time.But being no.1 means that the team is really and consistently performing well over a long period.So being no.1 is of immense importance.

Realistically speaking it would be sensible on the part of players to be free from No.1 tag while they are on the field which only brings enormous pressure!
