thanks rana for starting this thread i also want to post some meaning to in my later post.
peace, piece

Peace means silent and piece means a single cloth piece.
plain, plane

plain means soft and plane means aeroplane.
@ sarala in your example advice is the noun and advise is the verb.
ship and sheep.
ship- vehicle for commuting in sea
sheep- animal
@ vidhimayur...i dont think ship and sheep are exactly homophones.
Vidhi The ship and sheep does not come under homophones. They are having different speelings and different meaning.
I think its better to say a start word so that it becomes more interesting rather than writing everything that you know.
Ad and Add.
Ad- advertisement
Add- add one more.
Hair and heir are good examples of homophones I believe.
Hair means filamentous bio-material and heir means a person who is inherited by law.
Allowed and Aloud are homophones. Allowed means granting permission ad aloud means reading loudly.
Ban and band are homophones. Ban means seizing by authority and band means radio frequency as well as pieces of cloth.
There can be lot of homophones like this. So can anyone begin it with a starting letter so that the next person will continue with the same.
