A camera to capture the light’s speed

Can u believe that there is a camera that can capture the light’s speed? Yes, scientists have come up with a new super-fast camera which is little big in size but it can capture the light’s speed.
A team of scientists at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology in London claims that the super-fast camera that they created can pulse of light that is of bullet shape. This light pulse can travel from a end of the laboratory flask to another in just a fraction of a second.
The scientists also say that the camera will take sometime to make its presence in the commercial market. Ramesh Raskar, a Professor at the MIT Media Lab has told that their ultra-fast imaging technology can analyze the method in which the photons travel across the world.
The scientists also claim that the camera is capable of creating 3D images as it can see the photons of lights inside objects too. The device was created by using a streaker tube that is usually used by the chemists to capture the light by scanning it. The camera can also record the progress of the light pulses that travels in a flask of liquid.
Raskar also added that, watching this will seem to be the slow motion of light. It is very slow that the light itself can be seen moving through a particular distance. This speed of light will be captured by the camera.

it is great.we know that light travel with very high speed of 3 * 10^8 m/s such can't be imagined to have a view of its waves but this camera now can record the vibration of light particles.
This is really another wonder ful intention by scientists. thanks for this valuable information.
Its fabulous sasikanth even I am shock to read this out and thanks a lot for sharing this amazing camera with us and I think it will be the single camera in the world and it can't be compared with any cameras in India.

Now Get Air Bags For Motorcycles

Our roads are getting crowded more and more vehicles as people start prefer to have their own means of transport rather than using public transport. Driving in such conditions is getting riskier to road users especially in cities. This has lead to several safety innovations. But most of them concentrate on cars and SUVs.

There have been several advancements in safety technology that ensure a person involved in a car accident does not suffer loss of life or limb. Seat belts, ABS, EBD and air bags have been pivotal in saving millions of lives across the globe. However two wheeler drivers who are exposed to more risks than car users so far had to rely on their own driving ability along with a bit of luck to have a safe journey. But here is one innovation that will help improve their safety.

Air bags for two wheeler users are specially being developed. These air bags will be fitted inside jackets that needs to be worn by riders. IN an event such as a crash or a collision, these air bags inflate from within the jacket and prevent any serious injury happening to a bike rider.

One such airbag jacket has been developed by Dainese, which is marketing as the D-Air Racing airbag system. This airbag jacket will offer protection to vital parts of the body such as shoulders, neck and ribs. If there is an accident and the rider falls to the ground, these airbags deflate quickly to cushion the fall and prevent injury. The airbag jacket does not look awkward when it is worn and will look like a normal racing jacket.

It is heartening to know that two wheeler drivers, who consist the majority of road users are now getting an opportunity to protect themselves in the maddening traffic.
Sasi, thanks for the valuable information that now, Two wheeler users are also protected from accidents. great.. but, in india on summer time wearing jacket is quite difficult.

IRCTC mobile app by Feb

The new app will be available across platforms like Android, iOS and Symbian, and will enable railway bookings through the phone.

Indian Railways Catering and Tourism Corporation (IRCTC), which has just launched an updated mobile version of its website for booking railway tickets, will be launching a mobile app across different platforms by February.
An Indian railways spokesperson said to The Mobile Indian, "Currently, a technical team of Indian Railways is working on an independent mobile app which will be available across all the platforms like Android, iOS and Symbian. It will be launched within the next one month."
The proposed mobile app of IRCTC will enable users to access features similar to what is available on the full web version of the IRCTC, and for payment people can use their credit card, debit card or cash cards.
There are already three apps - Paymate, Ngpay and Atom that can be used to book railway tickets, and are available across all platforms. These apps accept payment through credit cards, debit cards or mobile wallet accounts maintained by the service provider.
Recently, Indian Railways also allowed travelers the option of carrying their tickets in the phone itself instead of having to print an e-ticket. Travelers will, however, still need to carry a valid identity proof.
