In an interesting piece of research, Sachin Tendulkar is atop the list of 10 great batsmen ahead of Sir Donald Bradman. The list includes two other Indian greats - Sunil Gavaskar and Rahul Dravid.

Oh this is a good news.Chinmoy jee can you give us link of this.
I think it is fairly covered in various newspapers today!
I think the result should aslo include some unknown Indians in home matches.

Sachin is indeed a very good batsman or rather best batsman of the century.
This finding that too by an Australian scholar definitely puts Sachin in stronger position!
This is a great prestige to all Indian as Sachin makes all Indian proud.
I hope Sachin not only gets his much-awaited hundred but more importantly a series win against Aussies!
Both are more important to him.If he acheive this it is good for the country.

Let us hope that he completes his century of centuries in Boxing Day Test and wish him all the best.
What has, indeed, immensely pleased me is the fact that our little master has a lot of fans in Australia who also want him achieve this feat in th first test itself!

Sachin has his fans all over the world.
Yes, it's his humility and the charisma that carries with him which is so endearing!
Hope sachin will reach his century on australia match. :cheer:
Every Indian admires him not because he is a great sportsman, but he is loved most for his simplicity and humbleness. He always holds his head down to keep our country's head high. He is one among the proud sons India owns now.
Sachin is still India's best batsman.......had it not been for the unfortunate 98 or 99 at which he is out, he would have created yet another record.......
Whatever the researchers find, find on the basis of comparisons but what I feel is that if we go by the facts Sunil Gavaskar was any day better compared to other two of the Indians included.
Gavaskar was the best in his time and now Sachin is the best. No comparison.

I agree with you but the conditions would suggest, see in that time there were no protective gears like today and bowlers were too fast compared to this date and if you consider the number of games they played. But there is no denying that Tendulkar is gem of a player.
Ya thats good to hear. Indians are moving fast from the world to become the number one.
That's quite good.. He surely deserves it... There is no need to compare both of them.. As they weren't playing cricket on the same time.. I mean today's cricket is quite different from the past... So comparison is not fair.
