Are indians unable to control there political leaders

The citizens of India are not careless but they are helpless and confused. They are being exploited by the politicians.

Politicians can be made liable to the general public, as it works in other parts of the world.The very reason,of electing our representatives is that he represents our desires,needs and works accordingly.But, for the representative to be loyal to us,sympathetic to our needs, we have to question ourselves, whether we have selected a right candidate?We haven't.

Honest and loyal people do contest in elections but how many of us really vote for them.So, we can't blame the system but blame ourselves for not changing.

The political leaders- good or bad-represent people. It is aptly said people get the government they deserve. Indian citizens themselves are divided on caste, communal and regional lines. Hence, they get leaders of the type suiting them and accordingly govt. is formed.

When you do not even pledge your duty to VOTE you as an an Indian citizen do not have the rights to control a politician... I don't mean you here but the people of India..Most of us do not vote here and do not even throw light on matters that are important for India to get on with but we make trivial matters more important like SRK's entry into politics and other Page 3 discussions more important...

Then how do you expect people to control politics???
