1.There is no need of keeping them away from us because this is not a infectious disease.
2.There may be many reasons for this. The persons dont do by knowing them.
3.We must give affectionate to them so they can live some more life.
As my opinion we must keep away AIDS but not HIV affected person.

By talking some measures we can eradicate this evil from our society.
1.We must educate the people alot to tell avoid aids but not aids affected people.
2.By telling about the safe sex.
3.This is very rare case to check blood twice or thrice when giving to other.
when all this are done there wont be hiv and hiv people in our society.

Aids is most prevalent in few areas and in specific class of society but awareness programes are going on
by keeping distance from patients it would just hurt them more and it is not spreaded by sitting near to that patient
but even doctors fear those ,so when doctors themselves behave this way how can you expect layman to be not afraid.

AIDS is the last form of HIV. HIV patients need sympathy and help from the society. We are human beings. We need society to live in. This is how a civilisation crops up. We normal and healthy human beings cannot live without others. Thus, one can imagine the life of people who are infected with such viral diseases. AIDS is one of the most terrifying disease. It kills people slowly. Person dies an ugly death. It is painfull. Therefore, we should have AIDS and HIV affected people in our society.

I agree with Vidhimayur's last line that doctors are scared of such diseases. This is a fact. Not only AIDS, there are many sexual disease which causes painfull death. The symptoms of such disease is visible on skin. All of us want to live a healthy life. However, many of us are unaware of the infected people living around us. We cannot avoid all. They are also human being like us. They are suffering and are nearer to death. They want mercy.
Actually many people do sex as hobby. They don't believe in one is to one relationship. Many cases are still lieing in court where in-laws have accused their daughter-in-law to have sex with unknown person because she is HIV affected. 5 months before her husband died due to AIDS. This was kept secret by her in-laws. Thus, before marriage medical test is necessary.
Few months ago another incident happened. A fifth standard student bought fruit from fruit sellor and ate it. Few days later, he became sick. His parents consulted doctor. Doctor answered them after proper medical check up that he is infected by HIV. His parents became grief stricken. After proper enquiry, they come to know that the fruit sellor was infected with AIDS. He cut fruits with his bleeding fingers.
In these two cases in which some people are worst who are suffering due to their cheap deeds and some are innocent. These innocent people needs guidance and help from doctors and us.

Sasikanth , this is a news. I f you really know that your friend's father suffers from this disease and his health is not deteriorating because of non-veg,this would be a very useful info for scientists. But honestly I don't think there is any logic behind this, if at all he is fine and doing good then there may be other reasons for it.
And yes Devyani is right there are many people who suffer from this disease and we may not even know when we see them. Actually I heard of 2 cases where it was found that Gol-Gappa or puchka wala or pani-puri wala by whatever name you know him, this guy was suffering from aids and had a cut in his fingers and that day he served people with puchkas and a girl got infected with it.This is a real case. The same incident happened with sev-puri wala .This happened to a girl from a nearby college so I know it is for real.
Thus infection can spread like this and this is so scary .May be that is why people are afraid of contracting this disease, this fear has gripped doctors and we can't blame them as they are humans too who however knowledgible cannot avoid certain fears.

This is a touchy issue. Hiv/Aids is only transferable by blood, body secretions during sex, and about half a pound of saliva...You would have to try to get aids in a hospital if there were infected patients around you....
But people who work in hospitals are just that..people..humans make mistakes and they might make a mistake that could change a virtually healthy patients life forever.
so yes i do think they should be treated in their own wing of a hospital, just as babys have their own floors. it is not a discrimination, but i think that it should be dealt with before such circumstances happen, i think they are innevitable.

my other point is
Definately not, they should not be treated any different to any other patient and the staff on the ward should take universal precautions with all patients, the only exception would be if the patient was actively bleeding in which case a side roomwould be sufficient, not only for staff and patient protection but for the dignity of the HIV/aids patient
