Thanks to vicious campaign by anarchist elements, mobocracy and opportunist opposition groups, a senior minister, Sharad Pawar was slapped today. Is this not the direction team anna, various other anarchist groups supported by main opposition are leading the nation to?
If the anarchist trends are not checked, our democracy and rule of law is endangered.

Hey guys just leave it about that and be funny about discussions so they will be interest.
thee is nothing here sasikanth...chinmoy and many others are a great fan of anna hazare and his movements..
i was one ..but now i am not...the matter is over..
As intelligent citizens of India, we should neither be fan nor blind opponent of any one. Anna has many achievements to his credit. he is recipient of Padma Vibushan award. He also rightly raised his voice against corruption and pleaded for a strong Lok pal Bill.
But he is too adamant and strives to dictate to people, parliament and government. This is back seat driving that is not acceptable. Nobody can expect that whatever he says will be accepted in toto. The five or six persons in anna team cannot claim to have all the talent and treat others as total fools or wicked. They cannot usurp the functions of parliament and create conditions of anarchy and disorder in the event of non acceptance of their demand or view verbatim. Their views may be respected but they cannot expect that what they say will be considered as Gospel truth that must be dittoed by all.
The Union cabinet have approved anti graft legislation. Lok Pal Bill is also in process. Now team anna has no reasonable ground to hold further rallies or fast. They may press for their views but it is too much to blackmail nation, parliament and government with their agitation. It is also a ridiculous claim to say that mere Lok pal Bill will remove corruption. There is already mechanism for fighting corruption. But most of corruption is consensus and parties in the unlawful transaction are equally benefited. In such cases, nobody complains.
Team anna wants that citizen charter and whistle blower bill should be invariabley a part of Lok pal Bill. They cannot dictate legislation word by word with comma, semi column and full stop.

I agree that different perceptions are possible of different persons. What is being interpreted as 'obstinacy' might be also interpreted as 'tencaity' by some! If Anna achieves even 50% of what has demanded for the country - not for himself- the battle is won for the common man. Let us not forget that the kind of judicial activism that the Supreme Court displayed in unearthing several scams and scandals could not have come to light but for the 'obstinacy' of the Court. What is order and what is disorder also admits of different interpretations. Once one of our late prime ministers still holding his office famously remarked that out of one rupee spent by the government only a few paisas reach to the ultimate target! And Anna's emrgence in a scenario like this is more of a blessing than a curse! The harder the bargain he successfully drives the better for this corruption-ridden country!
I am not yet in the know of his official reaction on the part of Anna Hazare, if he is relatively satisfied then there is hardly any need to continue with his fast. But the million dollar question is: Are the political parties agreed on the present bill?
not sure of their reactions...you cannot pass any bill with the full agreement of all the political parties...majority would be enough....

No one else could have summed it up so nicely! I just hope that now they have agreed upon it, they don't come up with something else to further delay the bill from being passed!

I agree. When there is not full agreement with all, majority decisions is taken. That is why UPA constituents meeting has been held yesterday. Today there will be meeting with opposition parties also. The attempt is to get agreement of as many parties as possible. Ultimately the bill will be passed with majority support.
