Tatkal booking only 24 hrs in advance

Yes this is the one of the important news of yesterday but i forgot to share.

I think this would help the Indian Railways to keep a check on the misuse of the scheme as mentioned in the thread. Good sign that Railways are flexible in implementing and changing schemes for the good of the people...!

I already know about this. This is not much comfortable for the people

Bad news for me. I usually take a tatkal tickes more ,because the decision of going in train with reservation come late from myself. Even the cancellation ticket will not be refunded.

time is reduced but how it will help to misuse the system. people will misuse before 24 hrs instead of 48 hours.

I think misuse will be less,because the duration is reduced. The traffic would be there,but still its a very good move.

I think second rule will reduce misuse ticket will not be cancelled if it cancelled then there is no refund so agen will not book more fraud ticket.

thats a wonderful idea by the railways considering santhosh's point of view in mind....but any how tatkal is a wonderful system in india.
