I agree. There can be article writing competition also. I remember that there was a competition for article on 'arranged marriage versus love marriage'. Such competitions will give us many articles on selected topics from time to time.

Yes this is a good suggestion this will make to come better articles.

That is very good suggestion from Pinakin and Gulshan ji. But the participation will become less as we have seen in the recent competition of Best Article for Diwali.A list of topics can definetely work in long run as people will get idea on popular topics and will also boost the authors for sure.

I am in favor of article writing contest if not on weekly basis at least it could be held on a fortnight or a monthly basis like that of group discussion contests...! At least one group discussion and one article writing contest every month. First two weeks of the month could be reserved for a group discussion contest while the other two weeks for the article writing contest or vice-verse...!
