In Guru's case it's the goverment which should be put in the dock as the court hascleared his case long way back!

if afsal guru is cleared by the court and the matter is with the president...why is prathibha patil not signing those papers?
We have a ceremonial head in her as president, she is not an executive prez.May be the government's is staying her hand!

here also our great constitution is at fault for taking away all the power from the president...long live our constitution...
It's not our constitution but the quality of the people who have been entrusted with the duty of enforcing it. Lousiest of films can be made on fiensts of novels and stories!
nice example....and if the government is delaying it , it is totally unacceptable...there had to be some provisions or laws which sayys that the government has this much time only to solve the problem..
In India many cases are being delated. for example bhoforce case, that is recently solved and even rajiv gandi bomblast murder case. those people are punished recently . that means after 20 years
By this we will know how our indian laws are saving terrorists from their death.
The problem is adminstrative part of the system is sloppy and thoroughly inefficient and to a great extent corrupt too!
i would still say our system is sloppy...if a case in court takes almost 20 years to solve , it is the fault of the system which we have accepted.
Justice delayed is justice denied! If one has to wait for length of time - it's gross injustice!

correct.....only solution to this problem is an amendment to our constitution making way for speedy trials...
No need to amend it, appoint sufficent number of judges and have a time-frame for expeditious disposal of cases. I think these steps could be easily under the existing constitutional provisions.
that can be done...and it is a good suggestion.but a hurrry up process should not make the system sloppy.
Our constitution is modelled on some of the great constitutions of the world. We have enough laws to meet the demands of time, only we need efficient and transparent enforcement.
enforcement of laws is important. If this is the case with the well written constitution, i can guarantee that the new lokpal bill will go under this .

Enforcing a law is important..is politicians to blame for this or the highly paid civil servants?
Sure! A good law looks good on paper and the beauty of it lies in its enforcement!
according to the indian constitution they delay everything. thats why i feel that constitution must be changed
sarala...changing the constitution is unnecessary.you can amend it if the situation arises.
Chinmoy jee you have given a good idea but our government thus not have this idea about this which we are discussing.
First of all our laws must be changed. There must be some strict laws so that the terrorist must be afraid to do wrong.
