Mineral oil is used in most of the cosmetics and skin care items which we use. It has been said that mineral oil has some harmful effects on the skin. Is it true?

See this link , you may get the answer
But in the link it is said it is not having any harmfull effects.
It depends on your skin type. Your skin may not suit such oil. Use cosmetics rarely.
I dont use cosmetics even powder also.I know due to this we get skin cancer.
Can you please post a link in which mineral oil is not good for skin
But i had not found that the mineral oil is bad for skin.Every one is saying it is the best for the skin.
I don't think mineral oil has any ill effects on human skin. The link shared may be misleading or may contain wrong data
The answer to this question is that there are two opinions on this - one opinion against the use of mineral oil in cosmetics is that it clogs the skin i.e. it forms a thin layer on the skin making it difficult for the oxygen to pass through the pores of the skin.

Mineral oil is not absorbed quickly by the skin even when it gets absorbed, it is broken down by the liver and while passing through the intestinal tract, it absorbs the fat-soluble vitamins which is needed by the body.

Certain derivatives of mineral oil like propyline glycol have been linked with cancer and kidney damage.

On the other hand, those in favour of mineral oil say that there is no serious concerns regarding the same as mineral oil is testing and purified before use in cosmetics.
I dont think that mineral oil is good after seeing the reply of Pinakin.
Anyhow i dont use any cosmetics at all hope to get saved from it as even in soaps it is used.
natural mineral oils a never harmful..the chemically developed ones might be,....
generally it is considered good for skin but i agree with devyani, it depends on your skin type.
Mineral oil must be good for skin.To use such type of creams we must check after applying 24 hours to our skin.
