Elephant tramples child after fun ride

This is a sad events. Besides the tragic killing of the child, the issue of keeping animals as pet is a burning issue. The elephant is a wild animal and should not be allowed to be privately owned. They should be set free in wild life sanctuary.

in kerala,the number of elephants used for temple festivals are very high.in The name of tradition the elephants are trained .some of them are properly taken care of.some are not.there has to be some laws regarding this in the country.

Wild animals like elephants should not be allowed to roam freely in big cities as it may create a lot of problems. This is a very sad incidence. Hope the govt. takes step to banned these animals.

This is really sad to hear. If the elephant is wild one then it should not be allowed for entertainment of kids. I think for sake of money the owner of the elephant bought it but it leads to child's life in trouble
