The doctor should be punished severely for being the cause of the death of such a famous person. Of course, he will be bought to justice as it is US and not India, where he could have got BAIL.

I think such a famous person life is considered more important that is why the guy convicted for death of MJ is given punishment. The same may not apply for normal citizens in India or aboard as they have to fight for justice incase of medical negligence.

Doctor's responsibility may be simply for negligence. Negligence does not mean murder. So, doctor may not be punishable for murder. He may be punished for negligence only.
