India’s ace shuttler Saina Nehwal stormed into the Indonesia Open Super Series final on Saturday. Saina got a better off Eriko Hirose of Japan by 21-9, 21-10 in the semis clash.

Defending champion Saina will take on Sayaka Sato of Japan in the summit clash on Sunday .Sato outclassed Indonesian qualifier Ana Rovita by 22-20, 21-17 to progress into the finals.

The Indian is on the course to clinch her third title in a span of three weeks.She has already pocketed the Indian Open Grand Prix and Singapore Open Super Series in the last two weeks which also earned her world no.3 status.

Oscar Academy invites Resul as voting member
New Delhi, June 27 (PTI) Oscar-winning sound technician Resul Pookutty is among 135 artistes and executives who have been invited by the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences to join as a voting member.

"The work of these individuals has been appreciated by moviegoers all around the world. The Academy is proud to invite each and every one of them," said Academy president Tom Sherak in a statement.

Elated over the news, Pookutty said that this is another recognition of the work by Indian artistes.

"It's a great honour to be nominated as a voting member by the board of governors," Pookutty told PTI.

The sound technician won an Oscar for his work in the Danny Boyle directed 'Slumdog Millionaire' in 2009 along with A R Rahman who received two golden statuettes for his musical compositions in the same film.
