Improving English Writing Skills
Recently I was settling my books then i found a grammar book. I got Boddunan into my mind. From one year am working on boddunan by submitting articles but i never got credited more than 15. This used to disappoint me. So i decided to improve my English and even grammar and started practicing grammar. one week completed yesterday i have submitted an article and it got credited 20. I was so happy. Then i understood if we concentrate and work out the problem which we have then it will surely solve by itself. Due to boddunan i am becoming a good writer. Before i used to hate writing articles i used to feel bored of writing articles or reading articles and even learning grammar but now boddunan made me feel interesting.thanks to boddunan and boddunan friends and management.

I don't see how electronic messages can do without grammar! These are only means of communication not the messages that these communications contain!

Its the advent of electronic devices that has led to ignorance and misuse of grammar, all in order to fit as many words as possible in a small space!

I don't know much about the practices at BPOs but I heard that now they have trainers in grammar! Is it true?

Yes, its true there are trainers to teach proper English, but the focus is more on building accent (depending on who the client is) and getting the phonetics right, so written English and per se grammar is not really improved!

yes, For BPO's they give some training to speak or type English with good grammar

Chinmoy ji, Now on BPO's they have trainers to give training to Speak with proper grammar. but, the fact is still they are recuirting freshers only. so, only few gets well tranned with proper english and others still in job with unproper english.

There are giving grammar training in BPO also. And for BPO it became necessary of english grammar

Accent differs from place to place. That is why a Punjabi speaks English differently from a Bengali. The accent indicates whether an individual is American, British, Australian, Indian or Chinese.

Grammatical error indicates that one does not know English properly. accent has nothing to do with grammatical correct English.

Poor grammar is a major problem that is being faced by schools in UK! Can you believe that? Also the fact that there is a dearth of proper English skilled labour in India, a major BPO sector is being established in countries like Malaysia and Indonesia where there language is now much better than Indian counterparts.

Very true Vinodh! There are so many with poor English skills still holding jobs and there burden is being carried by handful few who have good language skills! The sad thing is such people cannot be fired form jobs because of high attrition rate the industry is having to face!

Spoken English is very important in BPO. call centers. That is why accent is significant there. But this is not so in written English. I personally believe that we should follow British grammar, spelling and pronunciation as far as possible. Proper accent and pronunciation is also significant when we talk in English. Hence, in addition to reading, we should also listen to TV and radio broadcasts- Indian as well as foreign.

Yes, it became latest trend to use uk english , now people stopped prefering american english accent

Uk english is best and easy one to learn than american accent so all are prefering this.
