sarala it was locked by the kalayni mam because the deepak has tried to have traffic to his posts posted in other sites.So Mam has locked His threads.

It has been made clear again and again that publishing links to your articles and blogs is NOT ALLOWED. I have made the reason clear in one link wherein I have mentioned the reason. As a senior member, you could have pointed this out to Deepak!

The threads are not locked always for something that could go wrong. In that event the post would be deleted and not just locked. When a thread is too long or the matter is no longer relevant, that is locked.

The administration or Maverick lock. Maverick may answer better.

Sorry mam as a senior member i had done mistake by not to informing him.I forgotten about this.when sarala asked i remembered about this.

forums are loked by admin incase the forums topics are useless or in case of repettion.

If something looks wrong on the forum,then the post would be locked. So,no question about this.

Are there any other reasons to lock the forum. In this boddunan website who can lock the forum kalyani and maverick and any more. can you please list them

Yes there are many reasons to lock in the forum they are

1.promoting their own articles written in other site.
2.For wrong posts.
3.Useless posts that means no use to others.
4.For spamming means continously posting on one subject.

One more reason is making the forum topic out of it. anyway your points are helpful.

Sasikanth has explained it well here! These are the most common reasons for topics getting locked. Another reason can also be the topic is very old and has no relevance whatsoever to present time and yet, there are users who will revive those threads with useless replies. In that case too, we may lock the topic.

Also, I request you all again, that when you notice any such things happening, please use the Report button below the post. That way, a mail will be sent to all moderators and admin, and it can be taken care of.
