As of from the date of the incident at Chennai High Court the clash between the cop and Lawyer continues till date. 10 days ago, an advocate was attacked in public by a police officer attached to Alandurai police station within the court premises and on yesterday Advocate Mr Anandeswaran had been attacked by 5 police peoples at Thudiyalur police station.
What are all the measures need to be taken to avoid this in future?

The police and lawyers both have role in criminal law. The police prosecutes the criminal accused whereas the lawyers defend them. In this process, some times, there is dispute between police and lawyers. It is necessary that lawyers and police both understand each other's role, responsibilities and limitations and avoid bitterness. This aaspect was well depicted in the film 'Dostana' with Amitabh Bachan playing a police officer role and Shatrughana Sinha an advocate role. Amitabh Bachan arrests criminals with great pains but sjhatrughana sinha spoils all efforts by getting the accused released on bail by clever legal tricks. This annoys Amitabh Bachan but he is still friendly.
