Efforts On To Check HIV/AIDS In City.
The Delhi State AIDS Control Society(DSACS) has been striving hard to overcome the incidents of HIV/AIDS in the Capital. It has also been concentrating on prevention alongwith treatment which has paved the way for effective curb on new infections. Health Minister Dr AK Walia on Monday chaired the 3rd Meeting of general body of DSACS which was also attended by the principal secretary, Health, Anshu Prakash, Director Health Services Dr MV Kamath, Project Director Faizi O Hashmi and others. Walia stressed upon the need of intensifying Information, Education and Communication programmes to bring about more awareness on prevention from HIV/AIDS. It was decided to bring more radio channels for airing audio messages, putting kiosks on electricity poles on road dividers and in universities.
