There are certain traits and jobs considered suitable to men and others for women. This difference fades in societies with more female rights and freedom. This goes to show that most of gender differentiation is more a matter of social conditioning than supposed physical reasons.

Yes, it is due to social reason still some areas in India face gender difference.
