Dear friends
Do you wash your face with rice water to lighten your skin complexion?
This has been going on since ages!

Hey Swetha, thanks for this simple tip, I know about using powdered rice for such purposes, but not the rice water. I clean my face weekly with powdered rice, its a good scrub.
It is new information. But I think it will be difficult to many due to the gummy nature of rice water.
Abid, the water is only used to wash the rice so it will not be gummy, it becomes after we boil rice in it.
We also use this water to drink during hot seasons, because it has a cooling effect on our body.
Ya kalyani, you are right the water is not sticky. Some people use even rice powder
Do you just use the rice powder with water or do you add drops of lemon to it?
Swetha, I add a little raw milk(unboiled) and then rub it on the skin. Sometimes, if I feel my skin is too oily or there are some blackheads, then I add lemon drops!
Thanks Kalyani,I am having an uneven tone skin. I thought why not try this out.
I even heard that Baking soda does wonders. Did you try baking soda?
I am asking because I havent tried it yet.
HI Swetha, I haven't heard of baking soda for this purpose, but probably it works like soap since its alkaline in nature. For you, if you have uneven skin tone then best try besan (chick pea flour) with a few drops of lemon juice, milk or curds and a little bit of turmeric. Its the best one!
Please suggest something to darken the skin complexion.
Gulshan, now this is something unusual! People always ask for something to lighten color and you are asking for becoming dark!
Anyway, I don't know much about this one, but strong concoction of boiled tea (without sugar) is cooled and then applied to darken eyebrows, this might work for the skin too!

I am not serious about darkening my skin. I am comfortable with my skin color. But thanks for the suggestion.
