Should drunk drivers be imprisoned on the first offense or give then a chance

they should be imprisoned because the person who get hurt can ever get well but with difficulties given the drunk drivers . so they should not warned direct punishment so as to learn them lesson.

Many like to pay fine and do what they like. For most of criminals and offenders fine means nothing. Imprisonment means something. But corporal punishment means most. A few strokes of the cane will reform more than anything.

Deven what you said is not practical in India but the idea is quiet good to implement.

As in India corruption is more , policemen takes this as an advantage and even a person who is drunk also they prove them as drunk and they will fine them.

There is nothing to think about first time or last time..So if you have more money you can do what you want in our country.. there is a only chance to to solve this is all offense should be punish severely.....
