Is punjab maharashtra bank safe

I know of only Punjab National Bank and Bank of Maharashtra but have never heard of Punjab Maharashtra Bank!! :dry:

this is not a bank . think you got the wrong name bank or its a blank bank . you shouldn't follow it.

I too haven't heard of a bank named punjab maharashtra bank.

It is always adviseable to read the prospectus well before arriving into contract or deal with.

Is it the correctly? how can punjab and maharashtra both clubbed i thinks such type of bank is not there.Never heard.

Oh! Its probably a small bank in Mumbai which is why no one of us have heard it! In any case, we hear of more and more co-operative banks going down because of heavy debts and frauds. So I suggest you to not do any dealings with this bank but stick to any one of Public sector or nationalized banks. I know you stay in Mumbai, so banking with someone like Cosmos bank would be safe as they have declared huge profits every year!

I agree with Kalyani and I think it would be a prudent decision to go for nationalized and Public sector banks than relying and depositing your hard earned money on banks on which you have very little idea or trust when it comes about investment or doing any other transactions....

Punjab Maharashtra bank is a Pune based cooperative banks. The casualty rate of cooperative banks is more. Better avoid.
