science vs commerce!

I was a science student.It was a successful selection by my parent as I am employed in a govt engineering college now.But I wish to teach humanities to my elder daughter who is on 7th now.

In my opinion science is a better option because it not only improve your knowledge but also helps you to improve your personality.
Is 22.7 a Rational Number

Science, commerce and humanities- all are essential. A students should see what he is at best. You can excel in the field in which you are best.

I guess this is a old discussion, but i would like to add my view.

Personally I have completed my studies in Science Stream..

But I think these days commerce stream is more good as students can get more lines and opportunities after completing studies. That's what I have noticed.

I had took Science,as i wanted to go in the Engineering field.
Everyone has their own interest and they should decided in their own way.

No stream is good or bad,its that interest,that takes us there.

i feel the education system should start becoming little more free with the selection of stream,as in subjects of interests should be given to a student despite of them being of different streams.

When i was in school,everyone was having this things in mind.
But,it changed and the interest was also seen.

I my class,there was a girl who got less,than 60%,but still she opted for Science.
So,the interest,matters a lot.

When i was in class 12 i take Math's stream and i got 62% but in Graduation i take BCA because my interest is in computer field........

We cannot say which is better every subject is good one. SO it kept in subjects

Every one not become a master in every subject.We nee to choose a subject which you like most.I think Science has a better Future......

Choosing any stream depends on anyone's personal interest and the guidance of the parents.I chose Science after 10th though i was interested in both science or commerec as my parents always wanted me to be an engineer or doctor. I became an engineer and i am happy to be an engineer. :)

Ok if someone chooses family and money than what he/she choose? :blink:

:) :).. My friend, its not about choosing, its about prioritizing. Lets say if your first priority is your Passion, then there is no question to ask for opinions. Just go for it and choose what you like whether you are making money out of it later or not.
On the other hand if your priority is Money then you have to work out the top paying sectors. An Average commerce graduate may or may not earn that much that an engineer or doctor can. That's what I think. So you have to work out the priorities and decide accordingly.

Choosing either the science or commerce stream all depends on the interest and passion. If someone has passion for accounts or economics but due to family prestige he/she goes for science field then it will be disaster for that person. because that person cannot perform well as he would have done it in other field.

I think Commerce Stream is good.
After 12th, BBA should be done and then we should go for MBA.

I have done B.tech and I knew how it was... I won't say its bad choice.
If you want to do MBA in future,so its better to have Commerce stream.

Now i will go for MBA and which is totally another field.

One of my friend did graduation in medicine and later did MBA in Human resources. What is the connection between medicine and Human resources?..complete wastage of time and money..

I don't feel that I have done anything Wrong in doing B.tech.
When i was in 12th,I thought that once i do B.tech I could get a goof job and life would be good.
But in this Competitive life no one gives a good job,until you have good talent and Degree.
So,Now decided to go for MBA.

Infact,B.tech has made me so strong,that i can face anything trouble,any problem and could handle them in easy way.

YEs, ronark your are right. PEople think that we studied something and they are doing job something. so what they studied is waste. But they should not think like that
